Mail Inserter

Essential Functions:

  • Set up and operate various specialized equipment and machines that cut, fold gather and finish letter, forms and other printed material.
  • Operate binding equipment (e.g. paper cutters, inserter, laminating and hole punches)
  • Wrap, pack and label paper.
  • Clean and maintain equipment.
  • Maintain inventory.
  • Operate copy equipment.
  • Processes basic forms and update records.
  • Cross train with team members.
  • Support internal control processes and month end reporting requirements.
  • Provide backfill support to operate printers and copiers.
  • Open a simple document file for viewing.
  • Move document file to printer queue.
  • Use basic functions of equipment such as completing simple print jobs, faxing fax to internet, scan to internet, scan to email.

Required Skills:

  • Experience in Mailing, Hand Insertion or Bindery
  • Able to read, write and follow English instructions.
  • Computer skills are required.
  • Listen, understand and communicate effectively.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Complete knowledge of all bindery and finishing process.
  • Capable of using features of bindery/finishing equipment (folder, cutter, drill, etc.)
