Job Title:Customer Service Representative (Toronto)
Overview:
●
Extensive in-house employee training (nine
weeks) - a complete training program, paid for
entirely by the company leads to certification
by Ontario: Financial Services Commission of
Ontario; as a Personal-Lines Damage Insurance
Agent.
●
A
vibrant and dynamic working environment with no
"cold selling" required
●
The
holder of the position will advise the clients
who call the Contact Centre about automobile and
home insurance products. Taking a
customer-centric, advisory approach, the agent
offers appropriate products and services to meet
the specific needs of the client.
Responsibilities:
●
Answer telephone
calls from existing and potential customers.
Offer appropriate products and services to meet
their needs and gather the information required
to complete the sale of an auto and/or home
insurance policy.
●
Match the potential
client’s situation with the company’s
underwriting rules and procedures in such a way
as to avoid poor risks and maintain a profitable
book of business.
●
Provide after-sales
customer service. Maintain the customer
relationship by informing clients of specific
offers and periodically reviewing their needs
and updating their files.
●
Agree with the
customer on a payment method for insurance
premiums, from among established options.
●
Attend training and
information sessions on home and auto insurance.
Requirements:
●
Educational level required: Ontario: University
degree or College diploma; Customer service or
sales experience
●
Property and casualty insurance experience (an
asset)
●
Job-specific certification(s): Damage Insurance
Agent’s licence (Ontario: OTL) (an asset)
●
Provide clear background checks (employment
history, education verification, criminal and
credit checks)
●
Must be flexible to work shifts ranging from:
Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and
Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m, and statutory
holidays
